1999 Gallery
Featuring the western and wildlife artwork of Montana artist Michael Meissner. Visit our various galleries of his original artwork. Some original items are still available for sale. Please contact us for availability on a particular piece.
These are a collection of his wildlife works, handpainted and crafted on tanned hides and other rustic articles, developed in the fall and winter of 1998-99, including wooden planks collected from buildings erected around 1900 in the Bitterroot mountain range of western Montana, from a little known logging settlement known as the Grovedale District. Adjacent to this area were the goldmining "boom towns" located in the Cedar Creek and Trout Creek drainages of the Clark Fork River, located near Superior, Montana.
